The Westlaw KeyNumber System classifies all cases to a detailed and comprehensive classifications system, making it easier to locate cases that deal with certain aspects of the law. 

Previously the home page search ran across the KeyNumber Classification itself + the Digest Notes of the cases classified to the KeyNumbers to return relevant KeyNumbers.

This could result in less relevant KeyNumbers being returned, with the search terms sometimes not present in the KeyNumber Classification itself.

Westlaw has been enhanced to now search only the KeyNumber Classifications.

This provides a more targeted set of results that is more easily understood by users.
