Download and print options are available to you in any view on Westlaw NZ. You can stay on the home page and select one or more documents to download and print, or you can do the same from your list of search results, or after you have browsed away from the home page and into a database or document.

Westlaw NZ Guide - How to Create Quick Links

This user guide explains how to create your own quick links to commonly accessed content.

The quick links functionality provides users with the ability to personalise the homepage and create links to regularly accessed content. This includes search forms, products, a chapter, legislation, precedent, case, journals and more. Once a quick link is created, a link is displayed on the right hand side of the homepage. Simply click the blue star icon to display a list of deep links.

There are two ways to easily find and use legislation and commentary on Westlaw NZ. You can choose to:

  • Browse to the piece of legislation you require
  • Use the legislation and commentary search template to search for a particular piece of legislation

Westlaw NZ supports deep linking to most parts of the site. The Link Builder icon can be seen on the Table of Contents and all documents and should be used where available.

This user guide provides a list of definitions for our CiteCase symbols.

CiteCase gives the user a “good law” reading of a case by showing its litigation history and any cases citing.
